Konrad Skolarski
He was born in 1980 in a family of musicians. He began to take piano lessons at the age of 4 under the tutelage Prof. Marek Mizera and later in the class of Prof. Joanna Kotowska and Prof. Jerzy Maciejewski. In the years 1995-1998 he studied in the class of Prof. Janusz Olejniczak. When he was 9 years old, Skolarski performed Bach’s Piano Concerto in F minor with the well-known Concerto Avenna ensemble. Afterwards he has performed as a young virtuoso at the Warsaw Philharmonic in the cycle of Sunday concerts for young audiences. At the age of 13 Skolarski became a laureate of the Professor Stefanski Competition for Young Pianists. The young artist was noticed by Prof. Halina Czerny-Stefanska, who awarded him the 3rd prize. In 1997 Skolarski took part in the “Pianists of Tomorrow” International Master Classes in Hamamatsu organized by the Japan Music Foundation and Hiroko Nakamura. Of the 25 pianists invited to attend, he was the youngest and the only one from Europe. He perfected his skills at master classes with such famous artists as Alexander Jenner, Sergio Perticarolli, Hiroko Nakamura. Oxana Yablonskaya (Juilliard School of Music) and Vladimir Krainev.In 2001 Konrad Skolarski won the Tchaikovsky International Piano Competition in Spain. He was enrolled in the class of Prof. Olga Rusina at the Wroclaw Aademy of Music, in June 2007 he graduated from the Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw under Prof. Alicja Paleta-Bugaj and currently he's studying under Prof. Pavel Gililov at the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne.
