Born in Toruń in 1983, she graduated with first-class honours the Paderewski Music Academy in Poznań, under a recognised pedagogue, Prof. Marcin Baranowski, in 2007. Anna Maria was awarded prizes at numerous contests in Poland and abroad, including:
- III Prize and the Special Prize for the best performance of W. A. Mozart's Concerto at the 13th International Henryk Wieniawski Competition in Poznan (2006)
- I Prize at the 5th International Karol Szymanowski Competition in ŁódĽ (2001)
- III Prize at S. Serwaczyński Competition for Young Violinists in Lublin (1999)
- I Prize at16th Bach Competition in Zielona Góra (2000)
She perfected her skills under such pedagogues as Prof. Wanda Wiłkomirska, Krzysztof Węgrzyn, Konstany Andrzej Kulka, Petru Munteanu, Marina Yashvili, Detlef Hahn, Tatiana Grindenko.
Anna Maria Sta¶kiewicz has preformed as a soloist with renowned symphonic and chamber orchestras in Poland and outside, including the Amadeus Chamber Orchestra of Polish Radio; Gottingen Symphony Orchestra, Torun Chamber Orchestra, symphonic orchestras in Bydgoszcz, Lublin, ŁódĽ, Katowice, Zielona Góra and Karlshamm (Sweden); The Chamber Orchestra "Lviv Virtuosos"; "Sinfonietta Cracovia"; "Leopoldinum" Chamber Orchestra, Zurich Kammer Orchester, Sinfonia Varsovia, National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice. She has performed also at the Hanover Academy of Music (Hochschule für Musik in Hannover), Emperor's Hall (Kaisersall) in Frankfurt Main and St. Peter's Church (Kirche St. Peter) in Zurich. The violinist, although very young, has already cooperated with distinguished conductors, both in Poland and abroad. Her concerts were lead by such pre-eminent conductors as Agnieszka Duczmal, Jerzy Maksymiuk, Łukasz Borowicz, Jerzy Salwarowski, Michał Nesterowicz or Christian Simonis.
She's got also good memories from her cooperation with P. Andersson (Sweden), J. Brett-Harrison (UK), Ji-Hoon Ahn (Korea), V. M. Perevoznikov (Russia), S. Vavrinek (Czech Republic), D. Wilson (USA), R. Kabara, M. Nałęcz-Niesiołowski, Z. Rychert, W. Szymański, R. Zimak and J. M. Zarzycki. Apart from numerous concerts in Poland, she performed in Germany, Estonia, Russia, Sweden, Slovakia and the Switzerland. She has been awarded scholarships by the Ministry of Culture, the National Fundation for Children, the President of the City of Toruń, and Yamaha Foundation Europe 2004. She was also awarded Artistic Scholarship of the City of Poznań. In 2003 she was nominated to "Polityka" Magazine Award.
