Takashi Yamamoto
 Takashi Yamamoto was born in 1983 in Nagano, Japan. He began his piano education at the age of five. In 2001, being a student at Toho Gakuen Music High School in Tokyo under Prof. Yoshimi Tamaki, he won the 3rd prize at the 70th Japan Music Competition. In 2002 he graduated from Toho Gakuen Music High School, receiving a diploma with distinction. Since 2003 up to now, he has been studying at the F. Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw under Prof. Piotr Paleczny. He is a laureate of the following International Piano Competitions:

3rd prize at the 56th "Prague Spring International Music Competition" in Prague, Czech Republic (2004); He was also granted the Kamenikova Special Prize for the youngest finalist of this Competition;
5th prize at the "Paderewski International Piano Competition" in Bydgoszcz, Poland (2004);
1st prize at the "Seiler International Piano Competition" in Kitzingen, Germany (2005);
4th prize at the "15th International Chopin Piano Competition" in Warsaw, Poland in 2005.

Takashi Yamamoto frequently gives solo recitals and concerts with orchestras in Poland and Japan. In January 2006, as the prizewinner of the Chopin Competition, he made a concert tour in Japan with Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra under Marestro Antoni Wit organized by the Japan Arts Corporation. In Poland he has already performed at Opole, Szczecin, Saint-Cross, Baltic, Olsztyn and Lublin Phiharmonics.
